What If...

Possibly the two most powerful words in the English Language.  It's the father of 'What would happen if' and the mother of 'I wonder if' and it has been the question that sparked off so much beauty and horror in the history of humanity.  Every great inventor, writer, historian, athelete, any one who has done anything most likely started with those two words, if not physically spoken, then spoken with their actions, with their spirit.  The bible says in the beginning there was the word and the word was God.  Perhaps there were to words and God wondered 'What if...'

So, for the weekend, I ask that each and every one of you (yeah I know, I know, all three of you) take the time to ask you're own 'What If' question and seek your answer to it.  Hopefully you'll be richer for it.

Sugar Water this weekend: Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Queen Latifah, and Floetry.  Should be a real good concert.  Sitting on teh lawn on a sunday evening with the fam, eating home cooked food, watching my daughter dance to the music.  Don't get much better than that, does it?  Oh don't hate... =0)

"what if"...you acually have the good time you plan? Not to hate but Aishatu and I were supposed to go to the same concert. Unwilling to pay for $68 seats and refusing to sit in the lawn. Yeah the lawn sounds like fun until you realize that nothing seperates you from rude, loud, weed smoking ppl, who don't see/care that you are trying to enjoy the show. P.S. bring chairs, bug spray, binoculars, gas masks and you should have fun.

ok, i am SOOOOOO jealous about the sugarwater tour. I mean, my friend brandy and i were seriously trying to figure out if we could drive up to Stl from Austin and back in a weeekend just to see it. MY GIRL BADU IS FROM TEXAS!!!! HOW COULD SHE NEGLECT US SO?????? I am going to sit and cry right now. I would sit in the misdt of a rain storm during a moment of sleet in the fog of a sandstorm to see them perform....please get up and boogie for those of us who cannot be there. We are with you in spirit!

(Think that was dramatic enough??)

"what if....it rains at the show?? I can't see doing the lawn thing anymore dude. Been there done that. I went to the Smokin' Grooves tour back in the day. I saw Mother Earth herself the Badu when she was on the "Call Tyrone" tip. That was a great show. It was off the hinges. She was pregnant with Seven then. I know you guys will have a great time, however, I tend to sway in the direction of Tambora on this one. The weed smoking was beyond not cool. The lawn sucks major. I love me some Badu but the rest of em' I can miss. Besides, I have Wordwide Underground...don't need to see it live. Have fun and don't sleep on that bug spray!

The concert was great. There wasn't any obnoxiousness that I saw. There was mad weed smoke though but it wasn't really bad. I'm sort of sensitive to smoke and I was fine. BTW... I don't remember seeing you there Jerry. I got to watch your daughter dance to the music. HIGHLY ENTERTAINING! I had a blast. There was a great vibe at that show
